Tétouan is the capital of the province of Tétouan of the same name in northern Morocco and the cultural center of the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma region. The city is located about 60 kilometers east of the city of Tangier and also not far from Ceuta and the Strait of Gibraltar.
