Bilbao is a municipality and the largest city of the Spanish Autonomous Region of the Basque Country and the capital of the province of Biscay.
The city had a population of 345,821 in 2018 and more than 1,000,000 inhabitants lived in the metropolis of Bilbao, the economic and industrial center of the Basque Country.
