Santa Fe is a city in the northeast of Argentina near the mouth of the Salado River in the Paraná River. 

The Paraná separates Santa Fe from the city of Paraná, the capital of the Entre Rios province. 

Santa Fe itself is the capital of the Santa Fe province.
