Wuppertal is a city in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, 30 km east of Düsseldorf, 50 km northeast of Cologne, located on the Wupper River.
It is the largest city in the hilly Bergisches Land region and stands out because of the buildings against the hill flanks and the richness of trees.
