Darwin (Australia)

Darwin is the capital of the Northern Territory of Australia.

The city has approximately 124,800 inhabitants and is the northernmost city in the country.

Darwin was largely destroyed twice during the 20th century.

On February 19, 1942, the city was attacked by about 150 Japanese fighter planes.
