Burgenland is a federal state of Austria. 

The capital is Eisenstadt, also the largest city. 

Minorities of Hungarians and Croats live in Burgenland. 

Burgenland was formed in 1920 from the areas that Hungary had to cede according to the Treaty of Trianon.
