Orange River

The Orange River is the longest river in South Africa with 2160 km. 
The river is sometimes also called the Gariep or Groot River. 
The river was named after the House of Orange-Nassau by the Dutch explorer Robert Jacob Gordon. 
The river originates in the Drakensberg near the border between South Africa and Lesotho.
