Belfry of Mons (Mons - Belgium)


The Belfry of Bergen is a belfry in the city of Mons Hainaut.

It is one of the 56 belfries in Belgium and France, which have been declared World Heritage by UNESCO.

It was built by architect Louis Ledoux, who led the work from 1662 until his death in 1667.
The work was completed in 1669 by Vincent Anthony as an architect.
It is the only Belgian belfry in baroque style.
The belfry is 87 meters high and contains a carillon with 49 bells.
